Emily began studying music at the early age of five, when she began taking piano lessons. Around age eight she started playing the violin, which later became her focus. She loves almost any kind of violin or piano music, but her favorite pieces tend to be Romantic or Contemporary classical. She is an enthusiastic singer and particularly enjoys singing classical/art, pop, and folk music, as well as any music for choral ensembles. She also composes original music for piano, violin, orchestra, choir, solo voice, and arranges pieces for choral ensembles. Apart from her three focuses, violin,
piano, and voice, she also dabbles in a variety of other
instruments, including: erhu, feadóg, guitar, guzheng, and
viola.
She has been performing ever since she was six, and has experience
teaching violin. She is available for hire in the New York
City or Central Jersey area:
violin/piano/voice performance (both solo or ensemble), instrumental
accompaniment, private violin lessons, etc. In the past she has performed at parties, weddings,
religious ceremonies, and various other events and venues. If
you are interested in setting up any sort of gig or arrangement, please send her an
email to indicate your interest!
